Gold and Silver will always be a safe bet for wealth storage.
There is certainly more money to be made elsewhere in the markets but holding physical precious metals will always protect you from currency collapse. Banks can go bust etc but precious metals have always been worth their weight.
After the market downturn in 2009 the prices were fluctuating as people were hedging their bets against further crashes. This is the way precious metal investing works. Right now however the gold and silver prices are at a good bassline, reflecting the healthier markets.
